What Are You Doing to Grow in 2012?

12.05.2011

Welcome everyone to the 12th month of the year, which for us is usually one of the busiest.

The beauty of working at Randolph Sterling, Inc. is the variety of clients that we work with. This means that for us there is literally no “off season.” For some clients, this is their busy time as their prospects are setting their budgets for the next year or making annual purchase decisions. Still others are in a slower time of year so they are doing their own planning for the next one and ask us for help. In addition to working with our clients, we are always in growth mode and certainly this time of year we are also in planning mode to continue to find more and better ways to help our clients.

Our growth comes from different directions. For the surprising number of my clients who are Red Sox fans, you will note that we brought on Sr. Account Executive Wayne Sutherland to help us grow in the Boston area (and also help me to lug around all of the Yankee World Series memorabilia I have collected over the years). Wayne has not only been doing a great job in expanding our reach into New England, but also in bringing in opportunities for Randolph Sterling to offer additional services to clients outside of the outsourced sales and sales management services we’re known for; we will continue to keep you up to date on these new services through our “Weekly Success Offerings” e-blast and through our website.

So, what are you doing to grow in 2012? I’ve heard about as much as I want to hear about bad economies and other woes. People are buying, businesses are growing. If they are not buying form you, let us help you find out why.

April, My Favorite Month of the Year

04.07.2011

April is my favorite month of the year. Spring is finally in the air (and hopefully the snow is finished for Chicago), baseball season has started, we’ve had our first softball practice of the spring, and there are two very important birthdays coming up: mine and Randolph Sterling, Inc.’s.

My long time friends will tell you that I generally begin celebrating my birthday sometime around April 1 (even though it is not until the 25th) so as much as I act like a 5 year old when it comes to my own birthday, I think I am even more excited about the company’s birthday.

On April 22, 2003, I officially incorporated Randolph Sterling, Inc. Back then, it was just me and an idea that I could help some local Chicagoland companies by acting as a part time sales manager, although I had always had the idea that I could grow the company into something more than that, which is one of the reasons why the company is named Randolph Sterling, Inc. and not Rich Burghgraef Incorporated (although as a baseball fan, I guess I could have called us RBI).

Our goal has always been to help our clients grow. Over the years, we have added additional people, additional offices, and additional services to be able to help more companies in more ways. We still provide sales management services which include the work I originally did when the company first started out, but we now do so much more including:

Thank you to our clients, friends, and supporters for eight great years, we look forward to many many more helping you grow because right from the beginning one thing has remained constant—YOUR SUCCESS IS OUR BUSINESS!
